Membership Types & Pricing

All currently enrolled, full-time LSU students are eligible to use LSU UREC by presenting their Tiger Card at the entry station. UREC fees are included in the full-time tuition-fee bill paid directly to the Office of Bursar Operations at the current student rate.

Part-time students (in summer semester this is equal to those enrolled in five or less hours) are eligible to purchase a UREC membership at the current Student Rate. Part-time students are in the UREC database and need only present their LSU Tiger Card at the time of purchase.

LSU students who are registered full-time for the Fall semester, and had a full course load in the Spring semester, may purchase a summer continuing membership for the summer months.

Student members may extend an additional membership to their spouse or dependents.

Students may not sponsor their parents or siblings under student family rates. A family consists of the primary student member, their spouse, and up to 4 dependents. A family can include up to six members. Additional family member beyond six must pay the individual rate.

Children under the age of 12 months are not eligible for a membership. If you bring a child to UREC under the age of 12 months, they are permitted access to UREC, and must have a waiver processed for each visit at no charge. The number of guests allowed, regardless of age, is still (3) per day.

Children over the age of 12 months, are eligible to be considered members under a Family Membership and are also eligible for a guest pass. Read more about "UREC Dependent and Age Restriction" policies.

A Break Pass allows students from Baton Rouge, who are attending a college out of town, to purchase a membership during Spring Break Hours or Winter Break Hours. Students must provide their valid college ID and a state issued ID showing Baton Rouge residency.

UREC offers multi-pass options for those eligible to purchase a UREC membership. Multi-passes are available in packages of 10, 20, and 30 visits. The prices are as follows:

Anyone eligible for a UREC membership may purchase a multi-pass with photo identification. Multi-pass packages are valid 1 year from date of purchase, and multi-pass users are not eligible to sponsor guests for a guest pass. Multi-passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
