Eligible Certifications

Businesses recognized as a historically underutilized business (HUB) undergo a formal certification process by applying through a federal, state, local government or third-party national certifying agency.

Certification provides for greater visibility and exposure to educational, networking and procurement opportunities for institutions with HUB related programs such as LSU.

We aim to work with certified HUB suppliers with one or more of the below certifications.

Additionally, we encourage HUB suppliers to register with Supplier.IO, a national database of HUB suppliers utilized by public and private entities.

The Process

  1. Complete the online LSU Supplier Registration Form
  2. LSU Procurement Services approves application
  3. HUB Certification status is verified
  4. Suppliers added to Supplier Engagement Program to receive weekly opportunities emails
  5. Submit updated certification documents by renewal date to maintain HUB classification
