During their recent trip to New Orleans, Margaret-Mary Sulentic Dowell, PhD, a professor at the School of Education, hosted them at her home for a fish fry.

Their visit to New Orleans included several attractions and a trip to Sprout New Orleans. “The fellows were treated to a fish fry with freshly caught fish at the Dowell home,” said Sarah Becker,  PhD, director of the Center for Community Engagement, Learning, and Leadership, one of the program's directors. “The luncheon was a lovely way to experience Louisiana hospitality.”

Establishing these connections exemplifies the School of Education faculty's commitment to improving education in Louisiana and beyond. Thanks to Margaret-Mary Sulentic Dowell and her husband, Tony Dowell, for sharing their home with the fellows.
