I love being a therapist. I'm pretty sure it's been my calling my whole life. Every day, I get to sit with students from all different backgrounds, ages, ethnicities, and states and have the privilege of hearing their stories. Then, we get to work together to put the puzzle pieces together. There is no better feeling in the world than being able to empower someone to love themselves and develop their self-worth. I do this work because the students that walk into my office need to know that they matter in this world, and it's such an honor to help them recognize that.

Always prepared

"It's better to have it and not need than need it and not have it." My dad would tell me this whenever I would ask "Should I bring ...?" I live by this, especially when I'm considering if I need to bring a sweater somewhere.

Lifetime ticket-holders

We're a big sports family. My husband's family has had season tickets for football since the 1950's and it's so special that we still have those seats. Besides attending football games, we've enjoyed attending Women's Basketball and Baseball.

Royal memories

I was a traveling festival queen for the state of Louisiana in 2009-2010. I was the 73rd Greater New Orleans Floral Trail Queen.
