Inactive Courses

In September 2009, the Faculty Senate and Office of Academic Affairs approved the concept of “inactive courses.” The essence of the concept is that courses that have not been offered between five and nine years will be removed from the LSU General Catalog. It is important to understand that these courses have not been dropped, they have just been made inactive.

If a department wants to offer an inactive course or would like to view the inactive courses report, contact the Office of the University Registrar.
