While living on-campus I learned that there are so many ways to get involved with my community.

As a first-generation student, I focused on getting out of college quickly to start my career. However, I was missing out on growing as a person.

Living on campus allowed me to make connections with my peers, professors, and the staff members in my community. That experience led me into the field I am today, with wanting to help other students create positive memories of their time in college.

What keeps me going everyday is the opportunity to assist in a student’s journey through higher education. To ensure that their years in college are ones they will remember as not only joyous, but beneficial to their development as leaders in their community! -Nicole

If I didn't have this job, what would I do?

I would be an English teacher overseas.

One thing first-year students should know

Everything will seem hard in the beginning, but don’t give up. We are here to support you as you go on this journey.  There will be long days spent in classrooms and even longer nights spent studying for exams. It can feel grueling, but in the end, you will proudly walk across that stage with a diploma in your hand. Geaux Tigers!
