2021 Rucks Fellows Announced

Each year, the E. J. Ourso College of Business Rucks Department of Management recognizes 10 students as Rucks Fellows. These students are selected by faculty and represent the highest level of academic achievement among senior management majors in any of the department’s concentrations. To qualify, a senior management major must have a grade-point average in the top 10 of all graduating seniors in the management curriculum.

The students selected for the 2021-2022 Rucks Fellows class are Dallin Broussard of Port Arthur, Texas; Kenli Conyers of St. Amant, La.; Matthew Doyle of Hampton Falls, N.H.; Elizabeth Frazer of Lafayette, La.; Connor Landry of Lafayette, La.; Francesca Manfucci of Cagli, Italy; Luci McCumsey of Mandeville, La.; Tiana Pham of Baton Rouge, La.; Shea Poche of Paulina, La.; and Megan Wortmann of Metairie, La.

Dallin Broussard is a management major with a concentration in strategic leadership and minors in entrepreneurship and personal investing. A Stamps Scholar, he has served as LSU Student Government’s director of student entertainment and as an Ogden Honors College Advocate. Last summer, Broussard completed an internship with Aflac NY, working out of their Wall Street office. Upon graduation, Broussard plans to start a career in management with a long-term goal of owning and operating his own business.

Kenli Conyers is a management major with a concentration in strategic leadership. She is a member of Phi Mu sorority and currently works as a file clerk for Watson, Blanche, Wilson, and Posner. To achieve her goal of becoming a licensed attorney, Conyers plans to start law school in the fall of 2022. She looks forward to a career that combines strategic leadership management and law.

Matthew Doyle is a management major with a concentration in human resource management. He is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management at the university, local, and national levels. He is also involved with the Association for Human Resource Development, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and National Society of Leadership and Success. Following graduation, Doyle intends to pursue a career in compensation and benefits or training and development in the human resources field.

Elizabeth Frazer is a management major with a concentration in strategic leadership and a minor in international business. She is a member of the Roger Hadfield Ogden Honors College. Frazer helped her team win the 2021 Shell Case Competition, hosted by the E. J. Ourso College of Business. Upon graduation in December 2021, Frazer plans to pursue a career in management and obtain an MBA.  

Connor Landry is a business management major with a concentration in strategic leadership and minors in entrepreneurship and international business. Landry is part of the Entrepreneurship Fellows Program and serves as president of the Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization (CEO) at LSU. He also works as a residential assistant. Upon graduation, Landry plans to gain management experience. His future goals include launching a business and earning an MBA in entrepreneurship or real estate.  

Francesca Manfucci is a management major with a concentration in international management and a minor in information technology management. A Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity member, Manfucci is also part of the Association of Information Technology Professionals. Her entrepreneurial pursuits include working with other students to relaunch the Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization (CEO) and completing the Entrepreneurship Fellows Program. She also interns at the LSU Information Technology Services’ Portfolio Management Office. Manfucci is interested in helping companies manage their information technology to improve business; she would like to continue her education by pursuing a graduate degree in information systems management.

Luci McCumsey is a management major with a concentration in strategic leadership. She is a member of Kappa Delta sorority and a senate messenger at the Louisiana State Capitol. Upon graduation in May 2022, she plans to attend law school with the long-term goal of becoming a title lawyer.

Tiana Pham is a management major with a concentration in human resources and a minor in internal audit. Her experience in the LSU Center for Internal Auditing led Pham to an internship at Lamar Advertising Company. Through courses in the human resources concentration, she discovered her passion for law. Pham plans to attend law school and hopes to use her legal knowledge to help others. 

Shea Poche is a management major with a concentration in human resources and a minor in psychology. She is a member of the LSU Society for Human Resource Management.
Having completed an internship at Postlethwaite & Netterville, Poche recently accepted an offer to work as an HR coordinator for the firm. Poche’s goal is to continue her career in human resources and study to become a SHRM Certified Professional.

Megan Wortmann is a management major with a concentration in human resources. A student worker in the LSU Olinde Career Center, Wortmann hopes to further her education by pursuing an MBA after graduation in December 2021.

Thanks to a generous gift from William W. and Catherine M. Rucks, 10 students are recognized each year as Rucks Fellows. To enrich their development as future business leaders, these students receive opportunities not available to others, including the chance to interact with faculty and business leaders at special events, preferential enrollment in management courses, recognition during graduation, and the distinction of identifying themselves as Rucks Fellows.
