LSU Business Student Organizations Earn Honors

The LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business proudly recognizes award-winning student organizations:
Alpha Kappa Psi, Beta Alpha Psi and Delta Sigma Pi.
"We are very proud of the students behind these remarkable accomplishments," said
Jared J. Llorens, dean of the E. J. Ourso College of Business. "I urge all business
students to join a group that matches their interests. Involvement in student organizations
plays a key role in both personal and professional development. These groups offer
career exploration, networking, and leadership growth."
Alpha Kappa Psi (AKPsi)
The Beta Chi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi was honored as one of 16 outstanding chapters at the 62nd Alpha Kappa Psi Convention in Indianapolis. The LSU chapter received this recognition for its significant impact on the Greater Baton Rouge community through volunteer service activities benefiting organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and the USS Kidd.
Alpha Kappa Psi is the country's oldest and most prestigious co-ed business organization. The Beta Chi Chapter offers LSU business students programming that focuses on professionalism, networking, brotherhood and leadership.
Beta Alpha Psi (BAP)
The LSU Phi Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi earned international recognition as a Gold chapter for its activities during the 2023-24 academic year. Accompanied by a $500 award, this honor acknowledges the LSU Phi Chapter for far exceeding BAP baseline requirements and excelling in academics, professionalism and ethical leadership.
The LSU Phi Chapter also received first place in the Empowering Professional Relationships category of the Best Practices Competition at the Beta Alpha Psi Annual Meeting held this summer. The competition highlights innovative chapter activities that advance the goals set by both BAP and Deloitte. The chapter received $2,250 for wins during the regional and final rounds of the competition.
The BAP Phi Chapter serves students majoring in accounting, finance, information systems & decision sciences and information systems & analytics.
Delta Sigma Pi (DSP)
Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity recognized the LSU Beta Zeta Chapter with regional and provincial awards for Outstanding Professional Activities for a Collegiate Chapter and an Outstanding Alumni Relations Award for a Collegiate Chapter.
DSP is a professional business fraternity for undergraduate and graduate business majors. The fraternity's professional programs feature prominent business leaders speaking on various business—and career-oriented topics. DSP holds membership in the Greater Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce. Other activities focus on civic service projects, volunteer services on campus and social occasions.
