LSU Executive Education to Offer New Louisiana Public Leader Program

LSU Executive Education will offer its new Louisiana Public Leader Program on November 6-8, 2023, from 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at LSU's Business Education Complex, 501 S. Quad Dr. This three-day, 18-hour public leadership development program is designed for individuals employed in state and local governments or the not-for-profit sector.
The program focuses on improving the performance of public and not-for-profit sector employees and on improving the organizational performance of state and local government. The following topics make up the required 18 hours of education:
- Strategic planning for public leaders
- Key problem-solving skills for public leaders
- Finance for non-financial public leaders
- Project management toolkit for public leaders
- Leadership essentials for public leaders
- Budgeting for public leaders
- Performance evaluation and succession planning for public leaders
- Talent development for public leaders
- Public leader role in disaster management
- Personal integrity for public leaders
- Creating an accountability culture
- Communication skills
The early bird registration deadline is Sept. 7, 2023 ($995/participant) and the standard registration deadline is Oct. 24, 2023 ($1195/participant). The course fee includes class materials, break refreshments, and lunches.
