Rucks Department of Management Faculty Honored for Recent Research Articles

The Rucks Department of Management is proud to share recent accomplishments in research by numerous members of its faculty.

Professor Thomas Greckhamer co-authored an article published in the Academy of Management Review titled “Capturing Causal Complexity: Heuristics for Configurational Theorizing,” which was a finalist for the 2022 Academy of Management Review Best Article Award.

The Academy of Management Review is an elite journal in management and business that strives to publish theoretical insights to advance understanding of management and organizations.

 

Terrance BoydPhD Student Terrance Boyd's paper titled "The Power to Push Through? A Resilience Perspective on Disability Relationships and Leader Performance" was selected for a best doctoral paper award for this year’s Southern Management Association Conference, held in October in Little Rock, Arkansas. 

The Southern Management Association (SMA) is a domestic affiliate of the Academy of Management. The SMA membership comprises more than 1,000 management professors, doctoral students, and executives, representing more than 200 colleges, universities, and business firms in 43 states and numerous countries worldwide.

Bailey Bigelow Michale JohnsonAssistant Professors Bailey Bigelow and Michael Johnson co-authored a paper with Manuela Priesemuth (Villanova University) titled "Making Sense of 'Good' and 'Bad': A Deonance and Fairness Approach to Abusive Supervision and Prosocial Impact," which was selected as a finalist by Business Ethics Quarterly for the best paper published in 2021. 

Business Ethics Quarterly is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes theoretical and empirical research relevant to the ethics of business, corporate social responsibility, and corporate sustainability.
