Summer Housing

With so many good reasons to take a summer course, it’s no wonder campus housing is a year-round operation! Students can live on campus during the summer for short stays that parallel the three summer course length options - making it easy to get to school while still having an amazing summer.

If you’re looking for a place to stay on campus this summer, look no further than Nicholson Gateway Apartments. You’ll be steps away from campus landmarks, classrooms, restaurants, retail stores, grocery stores, cafes, and a state-of-the-art gym. Nicholson Gateway also features computer labs with free printing, private study spaces, and group study rooms. And just like during the school year, the Residential Life staff is on-site or on-call 24/7.

Choose the summer session that’s best for you, then apply for on-campus housing. The summer rate will be posted on your student fee bill, similar to the spring and fall semesters. Your financial aid can cover the costs of on-campus housing for the summer session that you need, so there’s no need to worry about wasting rent on an apartment you won’t use after courses end.

If you’re ready to be a part of the LSU community this summer, the summer housing application opens on April 1 in the housing portal.

As a reminder, the deadline for current residents in Nicholson Gateway to extend their academic-year agreements to 12-month agreements is mid-April, and the priority deadline for summer applications is April 29, 2024.
