Dr. Fahui Wang Awarded NIH Grant
Dr. Fahui Wang (co-PI with Dr. James O'Malley of Dartmouth College) was awarded a R01 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), titled “Geographic Variations in Health Care: Overcoming Bias, Expanding Generalizability, and Improving Relevance”. This project seeks to utilize the latest innovations in network and GIS-powered geospatial analyses to define new analysis areas for health care markets in the U.S., termed modified Hospital Referral Regions (mHRRs), allowing for heterogeneity across population strata and the construction of regional health disparity indices, and the development of statistical methods to account for sources of bias. The total fund will be $1,656,043 from 8/1/2024 to 7/31/2028.
