PhD Student, Reilly Corkran, publishes MS work on Georgia Tropical Cyclones in the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering. The article, "Spatiotemporal Climatology of Georgia Tropical Cyclones and Associated Rainfall," focuses on the historical occurrences of Georgia tropical cyclones along with their associated rainfall. It includes storms that enter directly from the Atlantic, as well as those that enter through the state of Florida and travel into Georgia. The most extreme event recorded was Hurricane Michael in 2018, which brought Category 3 wind speeds into Georgia.
