Jiyoung Lee has been selected for a highly competitive spot in the upcoming I-GUIDE Summer School on Convergence Science in Action, taking place in Boulder, Colorado from August 7th to August 11th, 2023. The National Science Foundation (NSF) has generously funded the program, covering all expenses related to travel, meals, and accommodation. The program is organized by a distinguished group of professionals including Dr. Mohan Ramamurthy, Dr. Anand Padmanabhan, Dr. Eric Shook, Dr. Diana Sinton, and Dr. Shaowen Wang.
The curriculum of the Summer School is designed to address complex convergence science problems, such as geoethics, geo-enabling reproducible and open science, visualization, geoAI, and spatial data science via cloud and high-performance computing. Jiyoung will have the opportunity to learn from experienced instructors and experts in the field, as the curriculum consists of five modules and a capstone project, where participants will apply their newly acquired skills and knowledge to real-world problems. This experience presents a valuable opportunity for professional development and building interdisciplinary connections. Jiyoung is confident that this program will help her advance her career and develop new skills that will be essential in her field. Here is an announcement for Summer School 2023 Participants.
