G&A alumnus co-authors article in LAS newsletter

Dr. Matt Helmer (MA Anthropology, 2011) co-authored an article on "Revitalizing Rivercane in Kisatchie National Forest" in the Fall 2022 issue of the Louisiana Archaeological Society newsletter (vol. 50, no. 3: pp. 29-30). The article, co-authored with Velicia Bergstrom and Dave Moore, unpacks recent conservation efforts to restore Arundinaria gigantea, commonly known as "rivercane," an ecologically and culturally important plant species in Louisiana. Congratulations to all collaborators!
