MA Student Giuliani Alvarenga Presenting Paper for the Latin American Studies Association

MA student Giuli Alvarenga is presenting a paper for the Latin American Studies Association.  They will be on a panel talking about Haitian migration and the crisis happening at the border of the United States. They will be talking about the 35-year history of immigration bans tied to HIV and how the government used Haitians and queer people as scapegoats to prevent people from coming to the US.
