LSU geography alumnus elected Chair of SWAAG
The Southwest Division of the American Association of Geographers elected its slate of officers for the coming year. Members elected Erik Prout as the division Chairperson. Erik earned his Ph.D. in geography in 2001 with a dissertation entitled: “Cultural Preservation in the Romanish Landscape: A Geography of the Swiss-Romanish Movement.” Since completing his Ph.D. at LSU, he has been on the faculty at Texas A&M University.
