Sarah Seibold and Bailey Landry, Geog BA majors and HSS ASPIRE interns, presented posters at SWAAG (Southwest Division of the American Association of Geographers) in Oklahoma City. Sarah won second place in the poster competition! The posters were: Bailey Landry, Memento Mori of the Eighteenth-Century, Dutch Atlantic Slave Trade. Sarah Seibold, Rediscovery of a Plantation Cemetery at LSU. Prize Winner! Ria Mukerji (LSU MS 2020), now in the doctoral program at UNM, presented a paper: Violations in Drinking Water Systems in Rural New Mexico. Great to see Ria again!

Across the street at NACIS (North American Cartographic Information Society), MS grad Adam Cox presented on his thesis topic: Creating a Public Space for Georeferencing Sanborn Maps. His crowdsource georeferencing website is coming along and soon going to beta.
