Admission requirements to the college of engineering from UCFY. CATS requirements

Students planning to work a co-op assignment must register with Career Services in order to remain a full-time student while working.

Updates to Curricula

* EE and EEC Students should take MATH 2070 instead of MATH 2090. If you already took Math 2090, it will count.  However the Math department will no longer have the capacity for EE or EEC students to take MATH 2090, and they will dropped if you enroll in MATH 2090. From now on ALL EE/EEC majors must enroll in MATH 2070.

* Starting in Fall 2018, EE 2741 will replace EE 2740. In Spring 2019 EE 2742 will replace EE 2731.

The transition plan:

Spring 2018:   Offer EE 2740 for the last time, if students do not pass EE 2740, they must take EE 2741 a semester to follow

Fall 2018:  Offer EE 2741 for the first time, and EE 2731 for the last time; if students do not pass EE 2731, they must take EE 2742 a semester to follow

Spring 2019: Offer EE 2742 for the first time

Students with credit in EE 2740 will receive credit for EE 2741 and matriculate into EE 2742.

Students with credit in EE 2740 and 2731, will receive credit for EE 2741 and EE 2742.

Important Advising Information

The following students will be advised by the ECE undergraduate adviser: students doing senior checkout, dual degree seeking students, and students working an internship or co-op assignment. Students will not get their flag lifted for scheduling unless they complete the advising or senior checkout process.

This year we gave student the option of choosing their faculty advisor. Each year in the fall we will repeat this process and allow students to re-select their faculty advisor. Students will be emailed the name of their adviser before the advising process begins. Students must see their assigned faculty adviser in order to have their flag lifted (see list below).

Students must bring to their advising appointment:

  • a completed advising form (.pdf)
  • a marked copy of the EE and/or ECE flowchart to their appointment. (mark “x” through completed courses and "/" through courses currently enrolled)
Your adviser must sign the form and you must return it to main office of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, located in Patrick F. Taylor 3325, 578-5241
