Apply to the Program
The LSU Graduate School uses an online application system. Applications and supporting materials for all graduate study must be submitted through the online application site: https://applygrad.lsu.edu/apply/
Official transcripts, official test scores, and other supporting materials which come
from third-party sources must be mailed to: LSU Graduate Admissions, 114 David Boyd
Hall, Baton Rouge, LA 70803. Departments have electronic access to all materials
submitted by and/or on behalf of a student applying to graduate study.
For unconditional admission to graduate study, a student is expected to have the equivalent
of an undergraduate major in French, with a grade-point average of 3.0 or better.
The French Studies graduate program does not require GRE scores, though applicants
may submit scores if they wish.
The LSU French Studies program is an excellent opportunity for students looking for
a well-rounded course of study in a unique atmosphere. For more information please
contact the Director of Graduate Studies, John Protevi, at protevi@lsu.edu.
Important deadlines:
Students can apply anytime for the next semester. However, in order receive financial
aid, students applying for admission for the fall term need to have all relevant materials,
including GRE scores, submitted to the department by February 15.
International students should consult the website of the International Services Office.
