This program will highlight the school’s Vision of “Bettering lives through education, public service, and discovery.”

Over the past 10 years, LSU Vet Med has developed an unusual partnership with the Louisiana Prison System. Please join us as Wendy Wolfson, Assistant Professor of Veterinary Surgery and head of the Shelter Medicine Program, discusses this service-learning opportunity that provides a unique learning experience for 4th year students, education for inmates,  and veterinary care for feral cats, shelter pets and pets belonging to inmates.

This event will take place in the LSU Vet Med Library common area (and via Zoom) on March 23 from 12:15pm to 1:00pm.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS MIKE THE TIGER'S CARETAKER

Join us as Mike the Tiger's caretakers discuss what it's like to experience "A Day in the Life of Mike the Tiger's Caretaker" and other fun facts!

This event will take place in the LSU Vet Med Library common area (and via Zoom) on Monday, April 10th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.

Those who register will receive a confirmation email as well as a reminder email with the Zoom link prior to the event's start time.
