ImPRint Communications partners with Hands Producing Hope to serve community

(BATON ROUGE, La.) – ImPRint Communications at Louisiana State University partnered with Hands Producing Hope on Saturday to launch a fundraising campaign through two promotional events at the Ogden Park Art Prowl and the Tin Roof Brewing Co.

ImPRint Communications understands the importance of giving back to the community. The ImPRint firm members volunteered for both events to assist in setting up, selling merchandise, collecting donations and promoting HPH on social media. With a combined effort, both events were successful in raising funds for the campaign and promoting HPH.

The goal of HPH’s campaign is to raise $20,000 by October 31 to establish a program in Rwanda on Nkombo Island. The program will invest in the lives of the women on the island by offering education, employment and life skills workshops that will equip the women with the tools necessary to rise above poverty. Furthermore, the program will provide income for desperate mothers by creating a market for their handcrafted goods in retail stores. 

“All women, no matter where they’re from or what their social status, they should be afforded the same opportunities for a bright future and be able to provide for their families,” said Rebecca Gardner, founder of Hands Producing Hope.

Hands Producing Hope is a social enterprise with a heart for seeing flourishing families and thriving communities in which women are empowered and children are fed and educated. HPH’s program provides an income for marginalized individuals, encourages continued education, hosts various life skills workshops throughout the year, and helps develop skills that will equip those in the program long after they leave. Originally focused on empowering women in Costa Rica, HPH is ready to grow its impact and start a program in Rwanda.
