The LSU Hilltop Arboretum will hold its annual fall PlantFest! on Saturday, October 5, from 9am-4 pm and Sunday, October 6, from 12-4 pm at LSU Hilltop Arboretum, 11855 Highland Road in Baton Rouge. Current Friends of Hilltop members will receive an invitation to the Members-Only Sale on Wednesday, October 2, from 9 am – 6 pm where shoppers will have the first pick of plants.
Celebrating decades of masterfully connecting people and plants in the unique, natural space that is the LSU Hilltop Arboretum, PlantFest! will feature over 300 species of native and traditional trees, shrubs, perennials, vines, ferns, ornamentals, and grasses, for purchase, sourced from reputable and trusted nurseries in Louisiana. Hilltop “plant experts” will be on hand to assist with your plant selections and offer advice, whether you are looking to compose a stunning plant vignette, attract butterflies, or grow more natives in your landscape.
Purchase a commemorative PlantFest! t-shirt and browse our unique collection of gently used eclectic wares at the “Yarden” sale. Visit the children’s tent for crafts, fall-inspired activities, and take-home treats for your young ones. We believe there is truly something for everyone at Hilltop! All Hilltop purchases are tax-free during the sale.
Become a Friends of Hilltop member by Thursday, September 26, to receive access to the Members-Only Sale and discounts at PlantFest! Members at the $50 Azalea level and above will receive free admission to the PlantFest! Teaser on Sunday, September 29.
Park in the Oak Hills subdivision and walk-into the arboretum from Pecan Grove Court.
Security will allow visitors with handicap placards to park in the Hilltop parking
lot. Please do not park on Highland Road. Please refer to Event Parking Map.
Bring your own wagon or cart or be prepared to rent one for $5. A limited number of
wagons will be available for rent. Rentals come with a volunteer to pull the wagon
and load your car.
Cash, checks, Apple Pay, and major credit cards are accepted.
