ASCE International Conference on Computing in Civil Engineering i3CE 2025

Future of Computing in the Evolving Era of Civil and Construction Engineering

May 11-14, 2025

Hosted by Bert S. Turner Department of Construction Management, Louisiana State University

Venue: InterContinental New Orleans, an IHG Hotel, New Orleans, LA

Welcome from Dr. Amir Jafari & Dr. Yimin Zhu, Conference Organizing Chairs

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the ASCE International Conference on Computing in Civil Engineering (i3CE 2025), hosted by the  Bert S. Turner Department of Construction Management at Louisiana State University in the vibrant city of New Orleans. This year's conference builds on a longstanding tradition of advancing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and shaping the future of computing in civil and construction engineering.

We are thrilled to bring together 280 participants from academia, industry, and government across 12 countries to share ideas and exchange perspectives on topics that are more critical than ever. With 237 peer-reviewed papers being presented — either in traditional oral sessions or in poster format — the diversity and depth of research showcased this year is truly remarkable. These contributions span our six technical tracks, addressing themes such as digital twins, robotics and automation, artificial intelligence, and human-centered innovations, each aligned with our conference theme: "Future of Computing in the Evolving Era of Civil and Construction Engineering."

Ensuring the academic rigor and relevance of this program would not have been possible without the dedication of our scientific community. A total of 305 full paper submissions — either in research paper or perspective paper format — underwent a structured, multi-stage peer-review process led by our outstanding Technical Committee and reviewers, who worked tirelessly to uphold the highest standards. Their efforts not only helped shape a robust program but also provided valuable feedback to authors, enhancing the overall quality of the proceedings.

Beyond the technical sessions, i3CE 2025 offers ample opportunities to network, reconnect, and envision the path forward together. I encourage you to take full advantage of these moments — whether at our receptions, during poster discussions, or simply in the hallways — to build lasting connections and explore new collaborations.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we extend our deepest gratitude to our supporters, volunteers, and all participants for making this event possible. We are confident that i3CE 2025 will be a catalyst for new ideas and innovations that will shape the future of our field.
Welcome to New Orleans, and welcome to i3CE 2025!
