LSU ChE GSA & Department to Host 2019 APTEC Annual Meeting

The Chemical Engineering Graduate Student Association and Cain Department of Chemical Engineering will be hosting the 2019 Applied Polymer Technology Extension Consortium (APTEC) Annual Meeting on Saturday November 2, 2019 in Patrick F. Taylor Hall. The APTEC Annual Meeting is a one-day scientific symposium designed to promote polymer research & education in the South-Central United States. Since 2013, the event has been hosted by participating gulf coast region universities, including LSU, Tulane, Southern Mississippi & Southeastern Louisiana. This will be the first year our Cain Department of Chemical Engineering will be hosting the conference and we are proud to showcase our new home in Patrick F. Taylor Hall to our peer institutions in the region. We would greatly appreciate your support with a strong showing from our department.

The 2019 APTEC Annual Meeting is free to register for all undergraduate and graduate students at LSU thanks to support from LSU Student Government! We have three leading polymer scientists visiting us from industry to deliver keynote addresses: Mike Yandrasits from 3M, Young-hye Na from IBM, and David Clemons from BASF. The conference also has student presentation opportunities for graduate & undergraduate researchers where you may earn cash awards! In addition, your free student registration comes with free breakfast & lunch during the conference as well as a networking social session. Yes, I said free food for students!
