Upward Bound Volunteer Opportunities

Looking for a great way to give back? Interested in earning extra money this summer, while supporting a wonderful cause?

Look no further; the LSU Upward Bound Program provides meaningful opportunities to help prepare our future leaders for college.  Upward Bound is one of the TRIO programs funded by the U.S. Department of Education. With a 50 year track record of providing advising, tutoring, college and career counseling, cultural enrichment, and much more to low-income high school students, Upward Bound has created a pipeline for them to complete postsecondary education. Many participants go on to become first generation college graduates!

Established in 2012, the LSU Upward Bound program provides comprehensive guidance to students at Tara and Woodlawn High Schools.  Our success is the result of countless hours of support from volunteers, instructors, tutors, and mentors.  If you are interested in getting involved, please contact upwardbound@lsu.edu.
