Hello and welcome to the LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Caucus
We strive to serve the needs of LGBTQ+ employees by promoting understanding of LGBTQ+ concerns and providing assistance, education, and social interaction. Any employee
of LSU is welcome to join!
The LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Caucus is deeply committed to antiracism and strongly
stands against all forms of white supremacy, including the anti-Black killings of
George Floyd, Tony McDade, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and thousands of others.
We recognize the interconnectedness of queer, racial, gender, ableist, sexual, and
all forms of oppression. Because we are a community that includes BIPOC (black, indigenous,
and people of color), anti-Black violence and anti-Black oppression is by definition
an LGBTQ issue. We stand in solidarity with those who resist white supremacy.
In support of LSU student Holden White
The LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Caucus stands with President Galligan and the rest of
the LSU community in mutual outrage, disgust, and sadness over the attack on LSU-Eunice
student Holden White, who was targeted because of his sexuality.
An update on Holden and his case can be found on the NBC News website.
