SPE ATCE Alumni Reception
The Craft & Hawkins Dept of Petroleum Engineering will be hosting an alumni reception
at the Society of Petroleum Engineers Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (SPE
ATCE) in New Orleans at Mulate's from 6:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m., during the alumni receptions
on Monday, September 23, 2024. This location is across from the Hilton New Orleans
Riverside and Morial Convention Center. The address is 201 Julia St, New Orleans,
Louisiana. We will be in the Acadia Room location.
SPE ATCE is the leading technical energy conference and exhibition for global E&P professionals and is celebrating its 100 year anniversary! As we welcome our centenary year, ATCE 2024 is focused on powering the future of energy with a century of innovation. Join the global community to reflect and discuss how companies are navigating the energy transition in this diverse sector, as well as the challenges that have arisen, including supply chain issues, skilled workforce challenges, inflation concerns, and more.
Our new Department Chair David Schechter will be present, and we have invited Dean Vicki Colvin to join along with members of the PETE faculty and staff. At this point, Professionals in Residence Dr. Mauricio Almeida and Dr. Otto Santos have stated that they will also be in attendance at the reception, as will Dr. Mayank Tyagi, and staff members Andi Donmyer, Janet Dugas, Dr. Fred thurber, and Dr. Mahendra Kunju.
The reception menu will consist of petite crab cakes, boudin balls, mini french Muffalettas, sauteed vegetables, chicken alfredo, shrimp etoufee, and blackened catfish, along with a variety of beverage options. Lastly, we will tempt your palates with homemade bread pudding topped with butter rum sauce. You do not need to show conference credentials in order to attend the party and friends/family are always welcome. We look forward to seeing our alumni. Geaux Tigers!
