Sharma Among Awardees for the Rising Faculty Research Award
On Tuesday, April 25, Assistant Professor Jyotsna Sharma was honored, among nine other awardees, with the LSU Alumni Association Rising Faculty Research Award. This award recognizes faculty at the rank of assistant professor who have outstanding records of scholarship and published research.
Sharma's research interests include enhanced oil recovery technologies, data analytics and machine learning applications for improved reservoir management, and applications of distributed fiber optics-sensing technology for downhole monitoring. Additionally, her research work includes formation evaluation, well logging, reservoir characterization, analytical and numerical reservoir modeling and simulation, and downhole sensors and gauges.
