Dr. Paulo Waltrich received Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers

 

The Petroleum Division of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) named Dr. Paulo Waltrich, Assistant Professor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at LSU, the recipient of its 2019 Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award.

“One of the main tenets of ASME and the Petroleum Division is to support the art and science of mechanical engineering. Recognition through awards achieves this end in that it encourages innovation and greater levels of professional excellence.”

On May 6th, Dr. Waltrich was honored and received the award in the awards ceremony in Houston at the 2019 Offshore Technology Conference. The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) showcases leading-edge technology for offshore petroleum engineering and it is the world's foremost event for the development of offshore resources.
