Longwell Family Classroom Official ribbon cutting

 BATON ROUGE, LA - Friday, October 12, 2018

The College of Engineering and the Craft & Hawkins Dept of Petroleum Engineering was honored to host the Longwell family as we cut the ribbon on the Longwell Family Classroom in Patrick F Taylor Hall. 

The classroom contains auditorium seating, state of the art presentation equipment, and is dedicated to the use of the department for the majority of our course lecture offerings. 

Prior to the renovation of PFTH, the department held it’s courses in our own classroom, numbered 2427.  However, as enrollment grew, very few classes would fit in the 64-seat room, and we had to go elsewhere for the majority of our classes. 

This new classroom holds 149 students.  We are very thankful and happy to benefit from the generosity of Dr. Harry Longwell and his family.
