Fundraising is a very important aspect of LSU
PBL's activities. One of our primary goals throughout the academic year is
to raise money in order to aid members financially so that they may be able to
attend the National Leadership Conferences over the summer. Usually around
April or May, qualifying members must supply the funds for the cost of the trip.
The Organizational Relief Fund (ORF) provides those who attend the conference
approximately half of this up-front cost, but it is still often inconvenient for
students to pay the initial amount. Of course if enough money is raised
through fundraising activities, the cost of the trips may very low
or even free! Therefore, our officers and members
collaborate on at least one fundraising activity each semester. |
