Lighting Surveys and Safety Inspections
The LSU Police Department conducts bi-annual inspections of campus buildings.
Safety Inspections:
LSU Police Officers conduct checks of the following:
- Exterior doors to be sure that they are properly secured.
- Fire alarm systems and equipment, along with the Baton Rouge Fire Department to be sure all is in proper working order.
- Trees and shrubbery on campus are inspected to be sure overgrowth is not a cause for concern.
Lighting Survey:
LSU Police Officers, in conjunction with LSU Student Government and Campus Affairs and Sustainability, conduct annual safety walks to address lighting concerns on campus.
