Student Community Engagement

World Languages students have taken part in various community service projects across East Baton Rouge Parish. 

  • Gardere Project and Tara High School collaboration: Bridging educational gaps and supporting ESL/minority students. 

These hands-on experiences let students apply their language and cultural skills to make a real difference in the community around them. 

Empowering Students Through Faculty Initiatives 

Our faculty members continuously develop new programs to enrich the academic journey and personal growth of our students. Highlights include:

  • Faculty Collaborative Projects:
    • Celebrating History and Culture. A collaborative effort showcasing the vital contributions of African American women and women worldwide. This initiative illuminates often overlooked voices fostering deeper appreciation for diverse experiences and narratives.

    • Poster Presentations: Cutting edge research from World Languages faculty.
