A wide array of equipment and systems are available to view. Plant equipment includes a 20 MW gas turbine/generator with heat recovery steam generators, 6,100 ton gas turbine driven chiller with heat recovery steam generator, natural gas fired high pressure steam generators, steam turbine driven and electrically driven centrifugal chillers, pumping systems, and boiler feed water system, cooling towers, air compressor systems variable frequency drives, and chemical water treatment systems.

Tours can be tailored to meet the interests and needs of the group. Tour duration is approximately an hour, but can be set up to run from about 45 minutes to over 2 hours. Group size should be limited to 20 people, and proper footwear is required. Tour hours are normally from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Non-LSU affiliated groups may also request tours. These tours can be granted based on the purpose of the tour and the availability of personnel to lead the tour.

For more information or to schedule a tour, please contact one of the staff members below at least one week in advance of the requested tour date. Tour availability is based on plant workload, scheduled maintenance projects and staff availability.
