About:
I am a PROUD Tiger. I was born and raised in Baton Rouge and knew where I wanted to go to college my whole life without a second thought! I got interested in forestry when I took an introduction class as a credit for another major. I then jumped in and took all my prerequisites on one semester just to go to camp with classmates! Currently, I live in Germantown, TN and have been married for 10 years and have two amazing children.
Job Responsibilities:
Currently, I am a Motor Carrier Manager for International Paper at our corporate office in Memphis. I am responsible for sourcing truck and intermodal volume out of our paper mills and box plants. We look to do this in a sustainable and environmentally favorable way. Prior to International Paper, I attended the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and received my M.S. I the. started my career with International Paper as a procurement forester for the company at our mill in Valliant, OK in 2011z I worked there for 3 years before getting a chance to work inside the mill in procurement operations at our mill in Campti, LA.
Favorite LSU Memory:
My favorite LSU memories all revolve around d RNR. We tailgated outside the building (undergrad, grad, and professors alike) and I also met my wife at RNR when she was a student worker for Dr. Rutherford! GEAUX TIGERS!
What advice do you have for current and prospective LSU Agriculture students?
Like the expression: Love Purple, Live Gold! Work hard in college and good things will happen. The agriculture group was great to me and really do a great job teaching in a hands on and creative manner. I would put them at the top of the staff on LSU’s campus!
Awards and Honors:
Xi Sigma Pi, Deans List (2005), Chancellors list (2006-2008), Rockefeller Scholarship, Weaver Brothers Scholarship, and Magna Cum Laude graduate.
