Lenny Waguespack was awarded the 2022 Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Outstanding Alumni Award for his professional accomplishments and contributions to the College of Agriculture.

Baton Rouge (10/04/2022) – The LSU Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Alumni Association held its annual alumni awards ceremony on Saturday, September 17, 2022.
Alumni and students of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness were recognized and honored for their outstanding leadership and contributions to agriculture.
Lenny Waguespack was awarded the 2022 Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Outstanding Alumni Award for his professional accomplishments and contributions to the department.
Waguespack graduated with a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness in 1980. He currently works for First South Farm Credit where he is the Vice President of Operations for the Louisiana Division.
He serves on the LSU College of Agricultural Alumni Board of Directors and participates in the College of Agriculture mentoring program.
He was recognized for his many years of support to the department and the undergraduate scholarship program.
Waguespack supports the effort to fund the E.P. Roy Memorial Scholarship program through the Louisiana Council for Farmer Cooperatives.
Outstanding graduate students from 2021 and 2022 were also recognized during the ceremony.
Anna Gutierrez and Whitney McKinzie received the Outstanding Master’s Student Awards, and Santosh Pathak and Sapana Bastola received the Outstanding Ph.D. Student Awards.
