An incident involving a brandished firearm took place on October 12, 2024, at approximately 7:07 PM at the Gateway Center Wendy's restaurant. No one was injured in the incident. In the incident, a subject engaged in an argument with an employee of the restaurant and brandished a weapon in their waistband. The individual immediately left the area. The LSU Police Department is investigating the incident.
