Association of Religious Studies Students (ARSS)

The Association of Religious Studies (ARSS) is open to all majors and minors in the department, as well as any LSU student who is interested in planning and participating in events outside the classroom. ARSS strives to promote students' interests in the history, development, and application of religious studies, and to create community among our student body. Under the direction of Prof. Lauren Horn Griffin, the ARSS faculty advisor, the officers and members plan events--both academic and social--throughout the year.

REL at Discover Day

Undergraduate students majoring, minoring, or interested in Religious Studies at LSU are cordially invited to participate in LSU's Undergraduate Research and Creativity Conference. This multidisciplinary undergraduate research conference is held each spring. REL students have historically made important contributions to the conference, and we're working to continue this tradition of supporting great undergraduate research!
