MSAT Application Selection Process

The MSAT Admissions Committee is responsible for determining the application procedure and for selecting the entering class in the professional curriculum. All pre-professional requirements must be completed by the end of the spring semester before summer matriculation in the LSU MSAT. All ATCAS applications to be considered for Early Application Cycle, including all official undergraduate/graduate transcripts from every institution attended, the LSU-specific sections, GRE scores and letters of recommendation, must be submitted no later than November 1, 2023 at 12:00 MIDNIGHT (CENTRAL STANDARD TIME ZONE) for possible matriculation into the Summer 2022 semester. Applications must be submitted through the Athletic Training Common Application Service (ATCAS) and the LSU Graduate School. Application instructions can be found on the program’s website.

Students admitted and enrolled in the school must be capable of satisfactorily meeting all requirements of the curriculum in Athletic Training. The Admissions Committee chooses eligible candidates to be interviewed; interviews will contribute to the selected candidates' overall score.

Academic and non-academic qualifications are considered in the selection process. Selection for admission is based on the sum of the objective and subjective scores. The exact combination of each component to the total score may vary slightly from year to year and is determined by the admissions committee and the Athletic Training Program Director.
