Doctoral Student Promoted to Director of CYBER.ORG

BATON ROUGE, LA- LSU PhD student Laurie Salvail was recently promoted to director
of CYBER.ORG, an academic initiative of the Cyber Innovation Center. This is a nonprofit
organization that works to accelerate technology, research, and development and foster
a knowledge-based workforce that can support the growing needs of government, industry,
and academic partners. This organization wants to see a future where the workforce
of the nation can meet current and future cybersecurity needs. CYBER.ORG has made
it their mission to ensure that every K-12 student gain foundational and technical
cybersecurity knowledge and skills. To accomplish this, they empower teachers with
resources and training needed to deliver cyber content to students. Learn more about

Salvail has over twelve years of classroom experience and is now working on her Ph.D.
in curriculum and instruction here at LSU. She is passionate about the implementation
of innovative research-based strategies to impact education across the country. Listen
