Twelve School of Education Students Earn LSU Communicator Certificate

BATON ROUGE, LA - A record number of 197 students earned the LSU Communicator Certificate in May 2022. The College of Human Sciences and Education had 14 recipients, 12 of
which were students in the School of Education. This non-degree certificate, issued
by the Office of Academic Affairs via LSU Communication Across the Curriculum (CxC), recognizes students who have successfully completed rigorous communication-intensive
coursework within their disciplines. Since launching in Fall 2018, 710 students have
earned the LSU Communicator Certificate.

Communication Across the Curriculum
Launched in 2005, LSU CxC is a multifaceted program focused on supporting students
cultivating multimodal skills in writing, speaking, visual and technological communication.
LSU CxC operates with a holistic approach to undergraduate student learning by spearheading
faculty development and training initiatives, integrating certified communication-intensive
courses within the disciplines, providing direct student support and promoting university-wide
student recognition opportunities.
