BATON ROUGE, LA - LSU School of Education faculty member, Jennifer Baumgartner, PhD, is currently serving in two key leadership roles for LSU Academic Affairs. Baumgartner
currently serves as the chair of LSU’s Learning and Teaching Collaborative and as
the Faculty Chair of Communication across the Curriculum.
Dr. Baumgartner explains, "Our research and scholarship get new life when we share
it with students through our teaching. Taking the skills as scientists, artists, communicators
and innovators to reimagine and innovate in our classrooms can positively impact the
future of our disciplines and communities."
Learning and Teaching Collaborative
Jennifer Baumgartner serves as the current chair of LSU’s Learning and Teaching Collaborative
which exists to promote student success through the development of the teaching faculty
at LSU. The faculty began the academic year with “Refresh” and learned from SOE’s
Dr. Keena Arbuthnot, who currently serves as Special Advisor to the President. This
fall, faculty are engaging in learning communities and discussing ideas about teaching
and learning. Mark your calendars to hear Jose Bowen at the January 13, 2023 Faculty
Colloquium. You can learn more about LTC at https://www.lsu.edu/academicaffairs/ltc/index.php.
