organization for Honors College parents). Meet and mingle with
Honors College faculty, Dean Nancy Clark, and current students of the
Honors College over catered food.
First Game Tailgate Party
| With the help of jambalaya and die hard LSU football fans, the members
of the Student Council host a tailgate party for the students.
After filling up on free food and flag football, join your classmates as
LSU wins in Death Valley.
Homecoming Brunch
| Invite
your parents over to experience LSU football at its greatest. The
Homecoming Brunch sponsored by Student Council is a event for everyone
to enjoy. Learn the fight song and the Alma Mater while you eat
delectable treats.
Holiday Party
| Just before
winter break, the Student Council gathers the members of the Honors
College for one last hurrah in the Grand Salon. During this party,
the Honors College holiday tree is decorated with homemade ornaments,
the students create homemade cards for children in the local hospital,
and savor holiday cookies and cakes. Also, the students bring
their favorite book wrapped to exchange with someone else for their
favorite book. A nice holiday gift!
Annual
Winter Charity Ball | After
a semester filled with exams and papers, its time to do a little dancing while
giving back to the community at the same time. In its fifth year, the
Winter Charity Ball is hosted in conjunction with fellow Honors College student
organizations and carries a cultural theme. Past themes have been "A
Night in Paris," "Midnight Ride on the Orient Express,"
"Bengali Nights," and "Venetian Masquerade."
Food For Finals
| At the end
of every semester, the Student Council provides a home cooked meal to
the Honors students during finals week. This is a chance to take a
break from 24 hour studies and fill up on good cookin'.
