Forum to host websites for AEJMC’s MAC Division and CSM
The Forum on Media Diversity will design, maintain, and host the websites of the AEJMC’s Minorities and Communication (MAC) Division and Commission on the Status of Minorities (CSM).
The forum is currently working on the design of new websites for the MAC Division and CSM, and these sites are expected to be launched in September. MAC Division and CSM will provide the Forum content for the website.

The 2010 John Breaux Symposium:
The Influence of Ethnic Media on Politics and Participation
 The Reilly Center for Media and Public Affairs and the Forum on Media Diversity at the Manship School of Mass Communication will organize the 2010 John Breaux Symposium on the contemporary role of ethnic media in a democratic society at the International House in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 1-2, 2010. At the symposium, media professionals and scholars will explore ethnic media’s impact on political participation and voting patterns as well as their relationship with both traditional and digital media.
Confirmed panelists of this symposium include Sandy Close, New America Media; Sergio Bendixen, Bendixen and Associates; Jon Funabiki, San Francisco State University; Hayg Oshagan, Wayne State University; Sally Hughes, University of Miami; Angie Chuang, American University; Tom Arviso, Jr., Navajo Times; Kenny Irby, Poynter; Bill Imada, IW Group, Inc.; and Federico Subervi, Texas State University.
Felix Gutierrez of the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California and LSU's Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor, John Maxwell Hamilton will moderate the symposium.
