Luz Randolph Named Associate Vice Provost for Diversity
05/13/2021
BATON ROUGE – Luz Randolph has been named Associate Vice Provost for Diversity in
the LSU Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, or ODEI.
"We are very fortunate to have found such an ideal candidate to assume the role of AVP in the ODEI. Randolph not only brings a wealth of experience in both development and diversity, but she comes with effusive praise from those who have worked with and supervised her. She will certainly enrich LSU with her presence," said Dereck J. Rovaris, Sr., LSU Vice Provost for Diversity.
Randolph joins the ODEI as an award-winning DEI leader and ally from the St. Petersburg College Foundation, where she served as the Executive Director of Development and led the SPC’s second official Giving Day which exceeded the goal by 275 percent. Prior to SPC, she served as the Assistant Director of Development for Diversity Initiatives and University Advancement for the University of South Florida Foundation and was the university’s first development officer dedicated to diversity fundraising. She also served as a Director for the Candidate Empowerment Center at Florida A&M University and Assistant Director for the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs at the University of Miami.
“I am excited to join a team who is dedicated and committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. My goal is to continue to work collaboratively with our community to advance the mission of LSU and position the University as a champion of DEI,” said Randolph.
The LSU Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is a division of the Office of Academic Affairs and provides support, referral and information to students, faculty and staff on issues and concerns related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
