LSBDC at LSU Ribbon Cutting

Following COVID-19 guidelines, guest speakers gathered at LSU Innovation Park to celebrate this great achievement for the small businesses of Louisiana. Guest speakers consisted of Dr. David Winwood, Innovation Park Executive Director, Dr. Samuel Bentley, Vice President of ORED, Dr. Stacia Haynie, Provost & Executive Vice President of LSU, Carla Holland, State Director of LSBDC, Bryan Greenwood, Associate State Director of LSBDC, Adam Knapp, of BRAC, and LSU Interim President Tom Galligan.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, only guest speakers, LSU Innovation Park staff, and press were allowed to attend the event. To allow anybody interested in the SBDC @ LSU Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to virtually attend, a live stream of the event was shared on LSU Innovation Park’s Facebook page.

“The opening of this SBDC satellite office is extremely important for small business owners, especially during the pandemic,” said LSBDC State Director Carla Holland. The commencement of the SBDC at LSU Ribbon Cutting Ceremony officially marks the LSBDC opening at LSU Innovation Park. LSU cannot wait for this journey with the SBDC to truly begin and to watch small businesses around Louisiana grow even more!
