Facility & Property Oversight Holds First Career Fair  

Facility & Property Oversight (FPO) partnered with LSU Human Resource Management (HRM) to hold its first career fair. This event was an excellent opportunity for staff members and external job seekers to explore career development, learn about job openings within FPO, and engage with LSU leaders and educational partners.

Attendees connected with FPO leadership, LSU HRM, and educational partners such as Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) to gain insights into career pathways, professional development, and educational opportunities. HRM representatives also helped attendees complete job applications and answered benefit questions.

Key Highlights:

• Explore Careers at LSU FPO: Participants learned about available roles in facility services, administration, and skilled trades.
• Employee Testimonies: FPO staff shared their personal career and educational journeys at FPO
• Engagement with LSU Leaders: LSU FPO leadership and HR representatives shared insights on workplace culture, career advancement, and the hiring process.
• Educational & Professional Development: Representatives from BRCC and LSU provided resources on skill development, certifications, and higher education pathways such as the LSU 25+ Program for adult learners.
• Networking & Career Support: Attendees had the chance to ask questions, connect with LSU professionals, and gain a deeper understanding of what it’s like to work for LSU FPO.

Jambalaya lunches were provided by Campus Federal Credit Union, and soft drinks and water were provided by Coca Cola of Baton Rouge.
