2019 Faculty Workshop Recap

On June 3rd and 4th, 2019, seven faculty members gathered from across campus, including the School of Veterinary Medicine, the School of Social Work, the Manship School of Mass Communication, and the E.J. Ourso College of Business, to participate in the second set of faculty workshops. Led by the Director of the LSU Ethics Institute, Cecil Eubanks, faculty members studied moral literacy, ethical reasoning, and moral development theory, and discussed how best to implement these topics into their courses.

On June 26th and 27th, twelve faculty members participated in another set of workshops – this time, all participants were from the School of Education! As with previous workshops, the conversations were spirited and participants were eager to collaborate with one another. Faculty participants from both workshops are now integrating ethical education into their courses that will be taught during the 2019-2020 academic year. Check back here throughout the year to hear more about the courses and activities faculty have developed!
