March 10, 2022
BATON ROUGE, LA – The LSU Transportation Consortium of South-Central States, or Tran-SET, was recently honored with the Council of University Transportation Centers’ (CUTC) Workforce Development Leadership Award. The national award recognizes institutions who exhibit outstanding leadership in designing and delivering workforce development programs.
Receiving the award on behalf of Tran-SET was LSU Construction Management Professor and Tran-SET Director Marwa Hassan and Tran-SET Program Manager Momen Mousa, who was also awarded a grant from the CUTC New Initiatives Program to produce a workforce development program that will educate transportation professionals on emerging transportation topics.
CUTC was established in 1979 by the major transportation research centers and institutes in the United States. It is a non-profit organization that provides a forum for universities and centers to interact collectively with government and industry.
